To our wonderful patients and friends:
35 years ago, my wife and I scraped together everything we had to open
Dos Caminos Pharmacy. We wanted to build a hometown business... a place where people knew your name, welcomed you with a smile as you came through the door, and genuinely cared about you and your family.
I believe we succeeded.
Over the years, I watched from behind the counter as your families grew along with mine. In this special place, we celebrated the joys and endured the sorrows that life brings. Happy or sad, thank you for sharing these experiences with me.
Now, it's time to retire.
All Dos Caminos Pharmacy prescription files have been transferred to Rite Aid Pharmacy in Camarillo. Rite Aid has made significant efforts to ensure this transition is as easy as possible, and I am confident in their ability to care for you going forward.
Though retirement will bring more time to spend with my grandchildren, closing the pharmacy is, as so many of you have expressed, a bittersweet endeavor. There is no way to encapsulate the feeling, other than to say that I am so proud of the last 35 years. At the close of a career, you can't ask for more than that.
I look forward to seeing you around town, and sharing a story and a smile...
just like we always did here at Dos Caminos Pharmacy.
Tom Tarantino, R.Ph.
